About the Opportunity
Big Rock Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a highly motivated Automotive Technician to join our team in Hinton, AB, on a full-time basis.
Working with Service Advisors, the Chrysler Automotive Technician is responsible for skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles. The successful candidate must be able to troubleshoot, dismantle, problem-solve, assemble and repair various mechanical parts and machinery to maintain the efficient operating condition of vehicles.
Key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Competently diagnosing & repairing: Diesel engines, power train, electrical, and suspension
- Performing all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Examining the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Identifying warrantable repairs and working with Service Advisors to form a resolution
- Using our electronic work order system to process requests and orders
- Repairing and maintaining the facility and property as required
- Keeping work environment clean and tidy, and adhering to all safety protocols while on the job
More About You
The successful candidate must be an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician. A Chrysler-trained 3rd or 4th apprentice, with at least Level 2 FCA training would be considered an asset, but not required. A valid driver's license and ability to provide a satisfactory Driver's Abstract upon request is required. Inter-provincial certification would be considered an asset.

You are dedicated to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, and value continuous learning. You possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and can read and understand various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting. You are proficient with computers and diagnostic tools, and are able to handle a fast-paced work environment and pick up a job where it was left off.
As a team member, you have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department. You are punctual, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team environment, while following set procedures and guidelines.
